Creative Chemistry 102, Day 02

2013.10.10 RUSTED ENAMEL TECHNIQUE (CC102)Since I don’t have any Distress Paint, I can’t do a lot of techniques for Day 01 of CC 102.  Day 02 has been using stencils.  I just ordered my first Tim Holtz stencil, and it’s on its way to me… but since it isn’t in my hot little hands yet, I made due with what I do have.

This technique is called Rusted Enamel.  I couldn’t figure out this technique for a bit, til I realized I was doing something completely backwards :S  For this tag, I used a Plaid stencil of flowers, Peacock Feathers, Victorian Velvet and Gathered Twig Distress Ink, and clear embossing powder.  I also realized after the fact that I did NOT keep my flowers the manila colour of the original tag, but honestly, I like the tag the way it is.
